Three percent of every order subtotal goes back to quokka habitat and conservation work. This page explains exactly what that means, so you can check it rather than take our word for it.

What the 3% is calculated from

Three percent of the order subtotal:

• after any discount has been applied
• before shipping
• before any tax

It is not three percent of profit. Profit is a number only we can see, and it can be made to say almost anything. Revenue is a number you can work out yourself from your own receipt.

There is no minimum order and no cap.

A worked example

One tee at $34.99, nothing else in the basket:

Order subtotal	$34.99
Goes back	$1.05

Shipping and tax sit outside the calculation, whatever they come to at your address. If you use a discount code, the three percent is taken from what you actually paid, not from the list price.

A dollar and five cents. On its own that is not much, and we are not going to pretend otherwise. The point is that it is the same dollar and five cents whether we had a good month or a bad one, and that you can check the arithmetic on your own receipt.

Who receives it

We have not signed with an organisation yet. We would rather say that plainly than put a logo on this page we have no agreement to use.

Until it is signed, the money accumulates in a separate account and is not spent on anything else — not stock, not ads, not us. We will name the recipient on this page before the first transfer leaves, and we will say why we chose them.

What we will publish, and when

Once a quarter, on this page, for every transfer:

• who received it
• how much
• the date it was sent
• the total order subtotal it was calculated from

The shop opens on 1 October 2026. The first quarter therefore closes on 31 December 2026, and the first report is due here in January 2027.

If a quarter passes and nothing appears here, you are entitled to assume nothing was sent. That is the whole point of putting a date on it.

What this is not

• It is not a claim that buying a t-shirt is good for the environment. Printing, dyeing and posting a garment has a cost, whoever does it.
• It is not a partnership, endorsement or affiliation with any conservation body, government agency or the Rottnest Island Authority.
• It is not a charity registration. Quokka Planet is a shop that gives a fixed share of its revenue away.
